Workshops

Innovation does not have to be a vague concept. All you need are the right building blocks, knowledge and skills to kick-start your organization on an innovative journey. I offer a wide variety of 1-2 day workshops for your people to boost their skills in a particular subject essential for effective innovation.

Design sprint

Getting from idea to execution can be hard. Especially without the right tools and process in place. A massive amount of resources is wasted at ineffective brainstorming, trying to solve for a problem that does not exist, too little contact with the customer and simply for lack of a framework in which to operate. A Design Sprint, led by an experienced facilitator (e.g. me), will make you fly through the most chaotic stages for idea development in record time (1 week), in an orderly and structured way. Leaving you with a properly developed concept at the end and greatly reducing the risk of failure in later, more expensive stages of development.

Project Management

Project management is a skill in and of itself. It involves such a big skillset that a truly ‘perfect’ project manager is unlikely to exist. One can still strive for excellence. I combine industry expertise, an entrepreneurial spirit, an educational background and on-point communication into a job that requires you to be up for a challenge and consistently on top of your game.

Innovation Strategy & Advisory

Innovation is complex. Knowing how and when to implement new ideas can be difficult. As the complexity of your organization increases, so does the complexity of your innovation strategy. Adequate distribution of resources is crucial. I help organizations to map out, understand and implement their strategy regarding innovation and assure an effective distribution of resources, for optimal results.

Entrepreneur in Residence

Building a new venture or service as part of your business is inherently different as building a start-up. An existing company culture, limitations, guides from within the existing organization, varying risk tolerance and a number of other factors, mark the differences between entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship. You’ll need people with an understanding of these differences, who have set up businesses before and know how to work with (and around) existing limitations. For effective corporate entrepreneurship you need to approach it like 3D chess. In order to succeed, you need to be aware of the (limited) moves you can make in a very complex environment. The best chess players understand the rules of the game and studied who they are playing with.

Framework for Innovation

Entropy is the principle that explains how all matter in the universe will disorganize unless structural energy and effort is put into it. This holds true for innovation in your organization. Unless you put a structure in place to properly guide all phases of innovation, you will end up with an unorganized bunch of ideas and concepts, which fail to build a coherent picture aligning with your company vision. Execution is everything. A great plan, executed poorly, will result in a waste of time and effort. I supply companies with a framework for innovation, customized to the needs of the organization.
